Federal government just shut down for tomorrow. Ray is waiting to see if they call his office closed, since it is in Old Town Alexandria where the shops have to protect themselves from the Potomac River with sandbags. His office used to follow the federal government but that changed with Snowmaggedon. Alexandria office kept closing and the other offices weren't happy. Several offices near the coastal areas have closed. He has a lot of work to do and would like to get in to get it done. He will wait and see. Schools are closed, and my daughter's campus along with the public school she student observes at has closed. They have had non-stop rain since early yesterday. We are now just getting the rain (Sunday six pm). Anytime there is a weather event at my office (we have no protocol really), patients come out in droves asking if there are cancellations. The schedule falls apart only to be mixed up and muddled up with those that are home due to work being cancelled. Power outage would be the thing that shuts us down. Not a little rain and wind.
Back to my vacation last week where there was rain coming...we just didn't know how much!
